This is a bizarre read, every chapter seems to have a time skip that's jumping around, it's like the MC is narrating his life but randomly skipping ahead while not mentioning it, there's not even a "2 years later" kind of warning, It also tries to be mysterious but the way it does it is just by leaving information out, the MC knows stuff but just wont mention it. It's like watching episode 1, 5 and 9 of a TV show while trying to guess what happened in between.

So did you drop the novel?

Story Narration is too bland that reader can't indulge in reading. At one time he is shown to cursing that girl....next time he is thanking her and we don't even know why . There are time skips and reader are not make aware what changes have taken place in that span. In 1st chapter he was shivering under pressure of imperials. Hell I can't even understand what these Imperial were either. In 2nd chapter in the name of Sorcery he did some ritual and a animal (forgot name) offered his/her egg just for food??Like really man , then it was told he learnt sorcery from his grandfather and some tricks from that girl...why would that girl teach to some mortal?

The story is not that bad but I hate the narration style which may make me drop it..
